Who we are

ImpactRoot exists because localisation is still more often promised than delivered. Local organisations are asked to lead, but too rarely given the funding structures, institutional capacity, or seat at the table that leadership actually requires.

We work to close that gap, drawing on decades of experience across humanitarian operations, financing, and strategic advisory to help local actors lead, and the institutions around them follow through.

We bring:

  • Decades of experience across field, country, and headquarters roles in complex humanitarian and development settings

  • Financial and strategic advisory expertise, from blended finance to results based funding models

  • A track record building the systems that make localisation measurable, including M&E frameworks and strategy development

Nearly a decade on, less than 10% of humanitarian funding reaches local and national actors, and direct funding sits at just 3.8%. ImpactRoot exists to help close that gap.
